Job Overview
Assistant Academic Advisors (AADs) - in temporary roles - are a resource for high school students, Mentors, and the Academic Director (AD). They are able to change gears quickly and troubleshoot problems independently to implement and oversee the day-to-day logistics of their programs.
The role requires an academic professional who is reliable, responsible, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. As well, they possess the ability to train and supervise a team of Mentors throughout the summer.

Program Implementation
Student Affairs
Training and Supervision
Work Interactions
Each Assistant Academic Director supervises a cohort of high school students.
Qualifications
Current or graduating undergrad or current or graduating grad student
Supervisory and/or leadership experience
Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom
Preferred Qualifications
Current or graduating GU student
Experience working in an educational setting
Experience working with faculty
Experience working with high school students
Institutional knowledge of Georgetown University
Knowledge or experience relating to the Academy subject matter
