The primary purpose of this position is to provide academic advising, monitoring , coaching and intervention as well as financial literacy sessions and referrals. In addition assist with identifying, recruiting and selecting eligible students, assist with intake and assessment of new students and create and manage student files and record services and activities. This role also hire, trains and supervises student tutors for the academic year. Primary lead for planning and coordinating summer bridge component and Living Learning community component.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The TRIO Student Support Services Program is a unit within the Division of Student Affairs at NC A&T State University. TRIO Student Support Services is supported by a grant through the U. S. Department of Education. It is designed to generate in low-income, potential first generation college students, the skills and motivation necessary to complete a program of postsecondary education for (200) students to graduate from North Carolina A& T State University.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred:
Preferred Masters Degree in Counseling, Education, Student Affairs, Psychology, Sociology or related field. Prefer at least 3 years of higher education experience. Experience with entering high volume data and program planning of activities and services.
