Area Coordinator for Residence Life Operations

Position Description
The purpose of this job is to provide oversight of the daily operations of the residence halls while also working collaboratively with the residence life and LACE center teams to ensure our residential and community spaces are safe and well-maintained.
The incumbent in this position is responsible for housing operation processes and facilities management. Additionally, this position is responsible for supporting facilities management for shared spaces and facilities set-ups for student programs.
The incumbent in this position is formally responsible for providing input into policies associated with the job’s purpose and responsibilities. Routine decisions include policy/procedural reviews as they pertain to the residential life programs and budget allocations for some operations of the department.
This role is a 12 month/full time live-off position. This position reports to the Director of Residence Life.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and participate in daily operation of residence halls; room assignment for new and returning students; check-in and check-out processes; room and damage billing.
Manage all aspects of housing facilities including keys, card access systems, work order processing, etc.
Provide input and collaboration on capital expenditures for renovations and building improvements
Collaborate with staff in student affairs and facilities management to ensure residential and programming spaces are well maintained; assist with the creation of on-going maintenance and facilities improvement plan
Support the director of residence life and resident assistants with programming and event management
Oversight for summer conference housing
Other duties as assigned and appropriate for creating safe and pleasant student life facilities and events.
