Summary Position
This position serves as one of the first points of contact for the Bursar's Office by phone, email and in person communication. Facilitating payments as they are made in person, online, by mail or by financial aid is also a main job function. Delivering exceptional customer service to all of the Elon University community is essential.

Essential functions of the position will include:

-Cashiering
-Maintenance of general office email account
-Processing student refunds as applicable
-Reconcile departmental fines assessed to student accounts
-Answering phone calls/emails and serving students, faculty and staff
-Receipt of payments, and petty cash reimbursements
-Balancing daily deposits and processing for bank delivery
-Assist with all registration events
-Process students for enrollment based on payments and notice of financial aid
-Backup to other Student Account Specialists

General Purpose of Position
This position involves daily data entry to maintain the proper balance of student accounts. This position is also responsible for the end of day cash balancing and reconciliation reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Miscellaneous invoice data entry. Daily cash balancing and reconciliation of all related ledger reports. Maintain the security deposit and graduation fee accounts. Daily processing of student refunds as applicable. Answering telephone calls and serving students, parents, faculty, and staff at the office counter. Counter service involves receipt of payments, and petty cash reimbursements. Assist with all registration days. Process students for enrollment based on payments and notice of financial aid.

Education and Experience
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school~ or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
