This individual must be able to work smoothly in a fast-paced event environment with frequent interruptions and have a high level of emotional intelligence. This individual must possess a high level of cultural competency to make sure all people's identities and perspectives are welcomed in the Conference and Event Services venues.
Primary Accountabilities: 1. Collaborate with departments and external clients of the university to coordinate audio needs of events and activities.
Create, set-up/teardown, operate and maintain audio for productions in Baker University Center, Memorial Auditorium, Galbreath Chapel, and Walter Hall Rotunda. Provide technical expertise and client support. Serve as system tech for large touring productions including the Performing Arts Series and Concert Series. 2. Maintain PA systems, mixing consoles, and associated Dante network infrastructure. Consoles include but are not limited to Avid, Midas, Allen & Heath. 3. Support the set-up and teardown of other event production needs including but not limited to lighting, video and staging. Train student support staff in safety protocols surrounding event support. Train student and other support staff in proper operation of installed systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
1 year work-related experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement

The target hiring range for this position is $36,279 – $40,788. Salary is commensurate with education and experience, while also considering internal equity.
