Position Summary:
Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist. Reporting to the Director of the ADAP Program.
The Substance Abuse Specialist provides:
- Multi-disciplinary mental health service offering preventive education, clinical assessment/evaluation, training and consultation:
- Intervention, treatment, recovery support, case management and referral, and collaboration with other professionals
- Campus constituents to address substance use related concerns with the Rutgers University-Newark student population.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or other relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of alcohol dependency theories and therapeutic treatment modalities.
