Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Graphic Designer works with the Student Affairs Marketing team to design and produce marketing materials in accordance with University branding standards for a variety of print and digital media. This person will:
- Oversee the production and execution of highly creative solutions for print and digital marketing.
- Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment; track progress on team project management platform.
- Organize working and final files according to shared drive protocols.
- Work collaboratively with departmental staff to develop and refine marketing content.
- Provide outstanding customer service to internal clients and external vendors.
- Ensure all materials comply with University branding standards and copyright laws.
- Participate in division and campus wide committees to support marketing, communication, design and University initiatives.
- Train and supervise student employees as needed.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of visual/graphic arts experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Four-year degree in Visual Arts or high school and four years of visual/graphic arts experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Digital Portfolio required.
- Commitment to customer service, diversity and inclusion, and teamwork.
- Understanding of social media, photography, and multimedia techniques.
- Experience in higher education is encouraged, but not required.
- Working with students is a plus.
- Four-year degree in design, marketing, or visual communication or equivalent work experience; work demonstrated by a digital portfolio. Photography experience is encouraged, but not required.
