If you have a passion for working with higher education students  Niagara County Community College has the opportunity for you.  We are seeking a dynamic individual for this multi-faceted role tasked with a variety of functions for the Student Life office in a high-energy, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.  This is a full-time 12-month faculty position grant funded position reporting to the Student Life Coordinator.

This position will be responsible for assisting in the development, management, promotion, and facilitation of a broad spectrum of activities and programs which cultivate a vibrant, active social life for students. Specifically responsible for developing late-night, weekend, and leadership programming while increasing student involvement. Significant involvement and ownership of new initiatives that are critical to improving student retention rates through the enhancement of the student experience.

1. Assists in the creation, development, and implementation of evening and weekend programming series, and/or organization that is open to both commuter and residential students.

2. Assists in the implementation and execution of a set programming series for the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute student population.

3. Assists in the recruitment of students to participate in extra-curricular programming, clubs, and organizations.

4. Assists with the development and preparation of promotional materials and resources for the Office of Student Life. This includes but is not limited to flyers, Stall Street Journal, Student Life app, on campus TV screens, website, and scheduling software programs...etc.

5. Maintains and manages the on campus food pantry.

6. Assists in the implementation of the Student Life/student activities/campus programming events including but not limited to new student orientation, speakers and performers, general student activities, leadership conferences and retreats.

7. Create and advise a club/organization to retain students and create a service learning opportunity.

8. Provides support for the negotiation of contracts for performers, lecturers, and vendors. Ensures needs of performers are wholly met, including booking of accommodations, comfort upon arrival to campus, and adequacy of performance space (including any unique setup requirements).

9. Assists with coordination and supervision of student volunteers and/or student workers assigned to Student Life events and other campus-wide activities, ensuring tasks are appropriately divided to maximize experience for attendees.

10. Assists and coordinates community service opportunities in on-campus and surrounding communities.

11. Prepares, maintains, and submits accurate records and reports as assigned.

12. All other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Ability to navigate relationships with a diverse population; must be able to physically perform typical work activities; must be able to operate computers; must be able to speak to groups; must be able to write reports; must be available evenings and weekends and attend out of town student and professional conferences.
