William Woods University, affectionately called “The Woods”, is a learning community of more than 3,500 students and faculty, including some 1,100 traditional undergraduates representing more than 35 US states and 24 countries on our 225-acre campus in Fulton, Missouri. The Woods is in a time of transformation and growth, with a 24% growth in on-campus students for the current academic year with continued growth expected in the next year as we welcome our new football program to campus.
WWU is seeking an energetic and innovative leader to serve as the Director of Residence Life and Community Standards. The director will oversee all administration and operation of WWU residential living and standards programs. Residential living options on-campus include traditional halls, suite-style living, and apartment living throughout 16 buildings. With a current on-campus population of 650 students, we are planning for significant growth in the coming years.
The director will be expected to serve as a collaborative leader within the University community, helping to facilitate effective partnerships to ensure students a vibrant learning environment; manage and supervise the overall operations of a broad range of university-owned housing facilities; address all aspects of the living environment for on-campus residents, ensuring living facilities are clean, attractive, well-maintained, comfortable, and include safety and health features maintained by systematic operations. This position directly supervises graduate and undergraduate staff. Oversee the adjudication of community standards violations in collaboration with other Student Life team members and campus standards boards. This should be accomplished in a manner that consistently enhances educational and community building programs and services that promote learning and development in the broadest sense, with an emphasis on student experiences and academic success.
