Job Description: What We're Looking For
This position supports the mission of Baylor University by fostering the transformation of undergraduate students through their study of, engagement with, and life-long appreciation of the fine arts, through recruitment, retention, programming, internships and engaged learning within the Fine Arts LLC and the Baylor Alumni Arts Alliance.
A Master's Degree, three years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. Up to five years of relevant experience is preferred.
A valid Texas Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required.
Must be able to travel out of the state of Texas.
Travel is required to execute engaged learning student trips and alumni engagement activities.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Fine Arts Living Learning Community The Fine Arts Living Learning Community (LLC) provides a vibrant interdisciplinary community for student artists and unique and challenging opportunities for them to engage in world class artistic experiences and opportunities to network with professionals in their field.
Foster a vibrant interdisciplinary community for ~250 student artists within the Fine Arts Living Learning Community (LLC), which is housed in North Village Heritage House.
Facilitate unique opportunities for students to engage in world-class artistic experiences.
Establish connections and networking opportunities with professionals in various fine arts fields.
Coordinate the recruitment, application, admission, and selection process for upper-division students, incoming freshman, and transfer students into the Fine Arts LLC.
Collaborate with Campus Living and Learning to manage occupancy, bed space, and room assignments for the Fine Arts LLC residents.
Plan and execute Fine Arts LLC programming, curricular activities, and recruitment initiatives.
Manage the overall student program budget, including purchasing, needs assessment, and annual budget proposal preparation.
Maintain a calendar of events and activities supporting both curricular and co-curricular aspects of the program in coordination with hall staff.
Collaborate closely with the Residence Hall Director, Faculty-in-Residence, Resident Chaplain, Community Leaders, and other faculty and staff associated individuals supporting the LLC within Campus Living & Learning.
Provide oversight to the LLC student leadership team in planning and executing programming, curricular activities, and recruitment efforts.
Supervise the creation and implementation of programmatic Fine Arts field trips within Texas and beyond.
Develop effective communication strategies, including print materials and websites, to promote and describe the Fine Arts LLC.
Ensure appropriate representation of the Fine Arts LLC at events such as Premiere and departmental audition days.
Respond to public inquiries about the Fine Arts LLC.
Coordinate the Fine Arts LLC move-in process and Welcome Week activities in conjunction with New Student Programs.
Supervise the Graduate Assistant assigned to serve the Fine Arts LLC.
Baylor Arts Alliance The Baylor Alumni Arts Alliance engages, encourages, and empowers alumni, friends, and students of the Arts by connecting them through exclusive events, screenings, and performances.
Build a strong community by fostering meaningful relationships, networks, and communications among alumni, friends, and students of the Arts.
Create opportunities for current students and celebrate the accomplishments of alumni in the Arts through, newsletters, social media, screenings, and exhibitions.
Work closely with Baylor Alumni Engagement to host events in major cities, including Dallas, Austin, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles.
Schedule, plan, and attend between 6-12 events per year, securing venues and ensuring their success.
Serve as the primary liaison to the Affinity group office and Executive Board Leadership within BAA.
Manage the BAA budget, including financial planning and reporting, and foster new financial gifts to support BAA initiatives.
Provide alumni opportunities and resources for engagement, networking, and maintaining relationships with the Baylor community.
Promote educational and professional success by seeking internship and mentoring opportunities for current Fine Arts LLC and other arts students and alumni.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
