The CSU Health Network is recruiting for a Coordinator of Prevention Initiatives.
The Coordinator of Prevention Initiatives provides support for inclusive, prevention-based, sexual health initiatives, and substance misuse prevention programs. The role includes coordination of initiatives that foster resource engagement, targeted skill-building, health enhancing behavior change, and assists with addressing the environmental context in which health decisions are made. This position works collaboratively with CSU Health Network staff, peer education, and partners on and off campus to execute initiatives. This position advises the Ram Recovery Community and co-facilitates the Peer Educator training course.
The Coordinator of Prevention Initiatives is a regular full-time, 12-month, salaried, Administrative Professional position.
The Coordinator of Prevention Initiatives reports to the Manager of Sexual Health Initiatives and Peer Education, in partnership with the Manager of Substance Misuse Prevention, and is part of the CSU Health Network Health Education and Prevention Services (HEPS) team.

Required Job Qualifications
Education
Master’s degree by start date in public health, behavioral sciences, social sciences or related field; OR
Bachelor’s degree in public health, behavioral sciences, social sciences or related field, plus three years of full-time, professional experience
Experience
Two years of full-time work experience in the functional area of substance misuse prevention, sexual health and/or health promotion; OR
Two years of full-time work experience applying the public health model of prevention
Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience
Professional experience planning, developing, implementing and evaluating sexual health initiatives, substance misuse prevention and/or health promotion programs that are based in the public health model of prevention
Professional experience working with peer based programming
Experience developing and facilitating prevention-based presentations, outreach, and/or trainings
Academic course teaching experience
Demonstrated commitment to, knowledge of, and experience with providing programming and/or services to, collaborating with, and advocating for individuals and communities with marginalized identities
Demonstrated collaborative and autonomous work experience in executing complex initiatives
Experience advising and mentoring students
Experience working in higher education setting
