Under the direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Intercultural Engagement will assist in the development and implementation of student development initiatives for students. The Assistant Vice President will assist the VPSA & Dean of Students in providing leadership for the college’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. The Assistant Vice President will use anti-racist/anti-bias and culturally responsive pedagogical theory and trauma-informed practice in their work with students, families, staff, and faculty to create a strong sense of community, prioritizing the success of each student, thoughtful use of resources, engaging with curiosity, and opening doors to opportunity.
