The Assistant Academic Director (AAD) - in a temporary role - is a resource for high school students, mentors, and the Academic Director (AD).
An academic professional, they are reliable, responsible, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
They change gears quickly and troubleshoot problems independently to implement and oversee the day-to-day logistics of their programs; and train and supervise a team of Mentors throughout the summer. Their main areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
Program Development
Program Implementation
Student Affairs
Training and Supervision
Work Interactions
The Assistant Academic Director trains and supervises a cohort of high school students who serve as Mentors throughout the summer.
Requirements and Qualifications
Current student, graduating undergraduate, or a graduate student
Supervisory and/or leadership experience
Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom
Preferred Qualifications
Current or graduating Georgetown University student
Experience working in an educational setting
Experience working with faculty
Experience working with high school students
Institutional knowledge of Georgetown University
Knowledge or experience relating to the Academy subject matter

Pay Range
The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $16.00 - $19.25. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
