Job Description: As a member of the School of Information Studies senior management team, the Director of Budget and Administration will work closely with the Dean, Associate Deans and Program Directors to set financial and budgetary priorities for the school and provide in depth analysis and guidance on the fiscal implications of administrative policies, decisions and changes. This position will develop and update a comprehensive multi-year financial plan for the School. They will supervise and manage a financial team which includes accounting, HR/Payroll, student financial aid and grants administration. The Director will collaborate with the assigned Senior HR Business Partner and other Office of Human Resources functional units to coordinate Human Resources for staff and coordinate the planning for faculty hires, as well as serve as point person for all financial information needed for accreditation and other statistical reporting.

Serve as liaison with the University Office of Budget and Planning in the development and maintenance of the 10 year strategic budget plan.
Work collaboratively with Budget Office representatives to assure the budget plan is in alignment with University budget requirements and overall philosophy/strategy.
Coordinate Human Resource activity for all school staff and faculty.
Serve as primary liaison to the university's Human Resource Office.
Oversees complex and confidential issues related to employment, V compensation, appointment letters, and employee relations.
Work closely with school leadership to determine enrollment targets and associated discount rates ensuring that the financial impact of decisions is well understood.
Perform internal financial and operational audits to assure compliance with University policies and procedures and to inform the school's strategic academic plan.
Evaluate, develop, and implement school-wide internal controls.
Investigate opportunities for continuous improvements and streamlining of business processes.
Supervise and manage the school's financial team including procurement, HR/Payroll, budget reconciliation, student financial aid and research administration.
Serve as authorized signer for all school accounts.
