Position Information:The Divisional Financial Administrative Officer will report to the Chief Financial Administrative Officer (CFAO)/Assistant Dean of the College of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS). This role will oversee financial, personnel, student affairs, administrative, and research support infrastructure operations across various departments within the college. Responsibilities include aiding in post-awards finance administration, providing strategic support to Department Chairs, and coordinating space planning initiatives for the college. During the inaugural year, this position will assist in transitioning financial matters for graduate student affairs from UCR's Graduate Division to CHASS. Additionally, the role will provide additional leadership and oversight of specific departments and the Financial Administrative Officer within CHASS.
The full salary range for the Divisional Financial Administrative Officer is $96,700 to $184,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $150,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Broad knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures with a focus on budget, account and fund management and/or personnel management under labor contract(s) and personnel policy. Broad knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; and/or accounting and payroll. Broad knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Skills to work collaboratively with other locations. Demonstrated management and conflict resolution skills to effectively lead and motivate others. Proven skills to quickly evaluate complex issues and identify multiple options for resolution. Skills in organization and customer service to effectively manage multiple important priorities. Proven ability to organize department work functions in an efficient and effective manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence/persuade all levels of staff. Strong understanding of federal, state, and private grant/contract regulations and standard proposal requirements as they pertain to the administration of higher education contracts and grants
