Albion College invites applications for the The Director of Student Engagement and Greek Life (DSEGL). This position is a member of the Office of Campus Life and the Division of Student Development and reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Campus Life. The DSEGL directs high-impact and transformative co-curricular experiences by providing oversight and leadership of our Greek student organizations on campus. The DSEGL leads co-curricular experiences that include assisting with orientation, late night/weekend programming, leadership development, advisor training, organizational leader training, and advising Greek councils. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize, and assess a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. This position will actively promote belonging and mattering through critical and compassionate communication and strategic outreach efforts to various students, faculty and staff (e.g., historically under-represented, first-generation, undocumented and DACA students, LGBTQ students).
Master’s degree in student affairs or related field required;
Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in higher education student affairs administration with at least two (2) years of that experience focused on Greek Life, student programming, event planning, and/or leadership education is required.
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Michigan driver’s license and be eligible to become an approved driver of Albion College vehicles. Those possessing out-of-state or international driver’s licenses are required to obtain a Michigan license upon beginning employment at the College.
