The Housing Coordinator position is a full-time position in the Office of Residence Life. This is a twelve-month, live-in position which requires evening and weekend hours that reports to the Assistant Director of Residence Life for Housing Operations. This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of housing operations, including facilities management, room changes, housing assignments and break applications, etc. The position assists the Office of Residence Life in the fulfillment of the mission of the University and the department to provide a safe, inclusive and comfortable living environment by striving to model Catholic virtues and building a community of respect, honesty, integrity, love and compassion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop positive relationships with students in the residence halls while providing support to the operations of the Residence Life office
Work with individual students to assist and support them with academic, social and transitional concerns
Serve as a co-lead for hall openings and closings in August and May, respectively
Serve as a role model, resource person and referral agent to resident students
Provide support to Residence Life staff with room changes and facilities concerns
Oversee break closing processes including creation of door tags, roster organization and student communication
Directly oversee graduate housing and serve as a resource for students living in our university-owned houses
Submit work orders and provide additional support to students living in our university-owned houses
Work closely with Assistant Director of Residence Life for Housing Operations on all aspects of housing selection.
Work closely with Assistant Director of Residence Life for Housing Operations on first-year assignments
Serve as a point of contact for third-party vendors, including CSC Laundry and Microfridge rentals
Design creative graphics and marketing for housing operations communications
Serve as an integral part of the transition and implementation to a new housing software
Provide assistance with residence hall key management
Support students with academic, social, transitional and mental health concerns
Serve as a member of the Mount Cares committee
Serve as liaison with Campus Environment in terms of maintenance work order tracking
Participate and assist in major events held by the University and/or the Office of Campus Activities such as: New Student Orientation, Welcome Week and others as assigned
Develop positive collaborative relationships with departments, including Campus Environment, Public Safety, Dinning Services, the Wellness Center, Campus Ministry, Recreation Services, Accounting & Financial Affairs
Participate in professional development opportunities
Assist with general office operations including but not limited to maintenance of the res life email and answering incoming phone calls
Serve in the on call rotation as scheduled.

The Housing Coordinator position requires a demonstrated commitment to the Catholic, liberal arts mission of the University. It is preferred that the successful candidate will have experience with software management and marketing.
