The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) will be responsible for the residential education and hall operation of 200-bed residential community on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus to ensure that each resident has the opportunity to succeed academically and personally. This position is responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and learning-centered environment through key responsibilities: residential education and curriculum, community development and standards, programming, coordination and support of living-learning communities; staff selection, training and supervision; advising student organizations; crisis management, on-call response; and day to day operations of the residential community including occupancy management and resident communication. This position requires frequent and meaningful interactions with students in a variety of settings and regular visibility
within the community.
The position will report directly to the Assistant Regional Vice Chancellor for Student Success at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus and will directly supervise live-in student staff. This position is expected to collaborate closely with the Director of the Student Center and Director for Housing Operations and Outreach (Tampa campus) for occupancy management and residence hall operation responsibilities.

MQ: This position requires a Bachelor's degree, with at least one year of experience in a student affairs or student personnel position; or a Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or Sports Recreation Administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:  A Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel, or a closely related field and residence life experience is preferred. Graduate-level residence life staff experience, supervising student staff and advising student organizations is strongly preferred.
