The Student Success Coach at Oberlin College and Conservatory is pivotal in enhancing student retention and success. This full-time, limited-term position (approximately 6-7 months) provides proactive, individualized, holistic coaching primarily targeting first- and second-year students. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of Student Success, the Coach will support students in their academic, personal, and professional development, serving as a central resource to help students navigate their Oberlin experience effectively.

The Student Success Coach collaborates with Center for Student Success (CSS) colleagues to design and deliver workshops for diverse campus audiences, including students, parents, faculty, staff, and prospective students. They will also foster connections with campus resources, contributing to comprehensive program evaluation and ongoing quality improvements. Additionally, the role involves supporting existing retention programs and assisting in the implementation of new initiatives in partnership with key campus departments, such as the Center for Intercultural Engagement, Office of Disability and Access, Residential Life, Academic Advising, Student Leadership and Involvement, SOAR/PAL program, and Career Exploration and Development.

• Master’s degree (preferably in higher education/student affairs, counseling, or related field).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in higher education or student support services.
