Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Activities Coordinator, Clubs and Organizations/Leadership Programs assists with planning, implementing and evaluating programs that support student clubs and organizations, which includes a liaison relationship with the Associated Students Sport Club program for compliance with CSU Sport Club Model and EO 1068, facilitating the recognition process for new clubs and organizations, and serving as advisor to the Associated Students Judicial Court. The incumbent supports the clubs and organization leadership conference and the advisor's training and recruitment programs, and is responsible for social media, marketing and updating various campus publications for clubs and organizations.
Facilitates leadership education programs (RED Academy and Charge Matador), the New Club Workshops, and U100 Student Life presentations.
Assists with reviewing documents that support student involvement with Sport Clubs to ensure compliance with campus policies and procedures, and advises students in the process of establishing a new university recognized organization.
Reviews proposed constitutions for compliance with university requirements, and ensures that new clubs complete all required university documents for campus recognition.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field
Equivalent to two (2) years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.
A Master's degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Working knowledge of the practices, procedures and activities of Student Services and working knowledge of the methods and problems of organizational and program management. Working knowledge of research and interview techniques and the principles of individual and group behavior; student development theories and leadership development theories.
Ability and specialized skills to: interpret and apply program rules and regulations; use initiative and resourcefulness in planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments and projects; ability to develop and implement student programs and long-range program improvements.
Ability to: recognize various value systems and work accordingly; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, CSU administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies and others in committee work, student advising and community contacts, and the public; rapidly acquire such knowledge of the organization, procedures and activities; present clear and concise information orally and in written reports.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions and carry through actions having implications with regard to other program or service areas. Experience and ability to work with a diverse student population

Classification/grade: 3082 / SSP II / 1
The anticipated HIRING RATE is $4304 per month. The salary range for this classification is: $4304 - $6120 per month.
HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
