The Division of Student Affairs and Success (DSAS), consists of nearly 250 team members spanning 3 major units and 21 departments. JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Finance & Resource Management, uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Prepares, reviews, and / or approves financial transactions.
Independently gathers information as needed to perform analysis.
Coordinates and implements department budget allocations. Conceives of and maintains department chart of accounts, other data management tools, and related business processes.

Provides analytical support for complex budget, financial, or resource analysis projects.
Applies professional concepts to perform moderate to complex financial or resource analysis to understand past performance and determine present and future performance and / or resource allocations.
Performs complex financial or resource research and studies for various internal department constituents. Examples include periodic financial reports, staff / faculty salary budgets, contracts, grants, gifts, endowments, or user fees. Financial and / or resource analysis could include budgetary analysis, financial analysis, forecasts, projections, staff or faculty salary or FTE analysis, student enrollment analysis, recharge or general rate analysis (parking rates, copier rates, capital project rates, student health charges) student fees (self-supporting programs, professional school fees, course material fees, etc.) contracts and grants analysis, endowment income, fungibility of funds, working capital, depreciation, new building funds, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to independently gather required information to organize, and perform financial analysis assignments.
Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; strong service orientation and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
Proven ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Strong background in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.
Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with various campus constituents such as staff, facult7, students, and external constituents.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of staff and members of a diverse community.
Demonstrated cultural fluency skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
