License/Certifications Required:
Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, or related field, or Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field, and eligibility for appropriate licensure in North Carolina. The successful candidate will be expected to obtain licensure in North Carolina within one year of start date and maintain licensure for the continuation of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad generalist clinical skills in assessing and intervening with a wide range of disorders, concerns, and degrees of pathology.
Interest and experience providing clinical services and outreach programming to student athletes.
Certification in mental performance consultation (CMPC) through AASP, or completed educational requirements for CMPC and eligibility to sit for certification exam within one year.
Interest and experience with the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, ideally with student athletes in a high-performance environment.
Interest and experience providing consultation in a university setting and building collaborative relationships with coaches, trainers, and Athletic Department staff.
Experience in a University Counseling Center.
For doctoral applicants, APA approved training for both academic and internship preparation.
Interest and experience providing clinical supervision to doctoral and master's level trainees.
Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally responsive clinical services and outreach programming to historically underserved populations.
