Your Role on the Team
Under the supervision of the director, the incumbent will be responsible for co-supervising the day-to-day operation of the children in a licensed day care facilities environment, serving children age 2 - 5 years. Responsibilities include planning curriculum and outdoor activities and assisting in the supervision of practicum and field study students.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $$24.88- $$28.27 (Hourly).
Required:
Ability to work effectively as a member of a child development team, with children, parents, staff members, and community representatives in providing a quality educational program
Ability to demonstrate a nurturing, warm, and supportive attitude when interacting with children
Effective communication skills, both with children and adults
Experience working with preschool-aged children in a center-based environment
Familiarity with federal and state health safety regulations applicable to a child care facility
Thorough understanding of child development and the philosophy and methodology of early childhood education, as well as changes taking place int he field
Knowledgeable of NAYEC Accreditation Criteria.
Ability to plan, organize and direct a challenging developmental and instructional program for preschool-aged children
Knowledge of developmental needs of children ages 2 to 5
Knowledge of appropriate activities (physical, emotional, language, social, and cognitive) for this age group
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent to experience and training
Current California Child Development Program permit at teacher level or higher
Current First Aid and CPR certifications
2 years working in licensed center-based child care facilities
Special Conditions:
Absence of active TB and other immunizations as required by Community Care Licensing
