Temporary Athletic Ticketing and Game Day Staff
Student and Campus Life (SCL) inspires transformation in all Cornell students on their journey of individual, academic and personal evolution. Our division is comprised of leading student affairs experts who support our campus on pressing student life matters including public service, health, wellness, social justice, residential living, food services, sports, recreation, career services, and student activities and organizations including sorority and fraternity life. We provide support and services to roughly 25,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on multiple campuses in the U.S. and abroad.

The Cornell University Athletic Ticketing operation provides our guests with the highest quality fan experience in a safe, clean, comfortable, and friendly environment. Our goal is to make every event a positive and friendly experience with the objective that our guests leave with lasting memories and a desire to return. Athletic Ticketing Game Day staff will provide excellent customer service, have strong interpersonal skills, and be approachable, responsible, dependable & punctual. These are casual (average of 19 hours or less per week) positions and are not eligible for benefits.
Game day staff positions include:
- Ticket Seller - Working knowledge of computers and experience in handling money. Ticket sellers are required to complete University PCI training requirements and must be able to operate a POS sales system for ticketed events.
- Usher/Ticket Taker - Assist guests at athletic events by collecting/scanning admission tickets or passes, providing directions to specific sections or seat locations, looking for items lost by fans, and directing fans to facilities such as the rest rooms/concessions. Must enforce all event policies.
- Parking Attendant - Responsible for taking payments from vehicles as they enter parking facilities, verify guests with pre-purchased passes and direct guests towards other paid or free parking alternatives when needed. Enforce all parking/tailgating policies at events.
All game day staff employees are expected to:
- Assist with athletic events during the academic year.
- Be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Have knowledge of and enforce all event policies to ensure the safety of guests and employees.
- Provide excellent customer service, including greeting all guests upon arrival. Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Anticipate needs and proactively assist guests.
- Problem-solve issues at events in a timely and professional manner.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time, both indoors and outdoors, and work during inclement weather when necessary.

*Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
