Job Overview
The mission of Georgetown's Office of Student Conduct is to assist in students' educational development by promoting concepts of fairness and due process in judicial settings, while striking a balance between community standards and individual behavior.
The Coordinator - in a temporary role - plays a vital role in fulfilling the Office's fundamental mission to assist in students' educational development by promoting concepts of fairness and due process in judicial settings while striking a balance between community standards and individual behavior. They primarily assist in the administrative aspects of the adjudication of cases, and also handle other Office of Student Conduct related matters as needed. Duties include but are not limited to:
Serves as a University Student Conduct Officer; conducts one-on-one Administrative Action meetings with students to resolve non-academic student conduct cases; and assigns sanctions when students accept responsibility for Code of Student Conduct violations
Assists in reviewing incident reports, uploading reports and other documents into Maxient database, and in performing sanction follow-up
Prepares, develops and executes training/outreach materials for Student Hearing Board training
Assists the Office of Student Conduct in developing and implementing annual revisions to Code of Student Conduct and Sanctioning Guidelines; and researches potential changes, compiles best practices and trends, and summarizes national, and other related policy issues/changes
Assists with various student conduct-related assessments, statistical reports, and research projects
Assists in the development and updating of the Office of Student Conduct online newsletter and website

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of education and progressively more responsible work experience
Knowledge of student affairs, higher education practices and academic standards
Demonstrated experience in a wide range of software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications
Master's degree or current enrollment in a regionally accredited Master's programs AND at least one (1) year of work experience in higher education
Experience with due process
Experience with integrated administrative case management database systems
Experience with Simplicity Advocate, and Banner
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days on campus; 2 days telework). Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
