The Systems Administrator I, under general direction, deploys and manages servers/systems ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and security controls. Will work closely with stakeholders across campus to accommodate their server/computer needs as well as providing assistance with installations and maintenance of software programs, ensuring compliance with University requirements. The assigned positions will provide coverage for the College of Business, College of Education and the Division of Student Affairs.
Responsibilities:
Work with stakeholders to accommodate technological needs and support departmental initiatives. Provide assistance with the installation and maintenance of all software, systems and servers. Perform standard operating procedures in accordance with processes and procedures set by CITE. Monitor and manage Help Desk inquiries via Team Dynamix for assigned area of responsibility.
Serve as a backup for university Audio Visual (AV) support within assigned areas of responsibility. Maintain all security controls and procedures to ensure compliance with university requirements.
Provide technical training and assistance (software and equipment) for faculty and staff.
Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders and CITE management team to create a collaborative and cohesive work environment.
Maintain a flexible and agile schedule as some activities may require support during after-hours or weekends. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience.
Starting Base Pay:
49,101.00
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting, client relations, formulating and contributing ideas, and the Information Technology Interface Library (ITIL).
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Special Requirements:
Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelorâ™s degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelorâ™s degree plus the minimum required years of experience. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have a total of six years of experience.
