Job Summary

The Associate Director & Lecturer will design and teach credited and non-credited leadership classes and workshops, which include topics such as: Public Speaking, Team Management, Ethics, Cultural Competencies and more. The incumbent will be assigned leadership related projects and carry out the vision and goals of the Archer Center for Student Leadership Development, which aims to enrich and educate the Rensselaer Community through interactive and reflective learning experiences which foster lifelong leadership development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education or related field
• 5 or more years in professional experience designing and facilitating interactive leadership workshops
• Teaching experience

• Familiarity with current leadership practices and theories
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Planning, organizing and effective time management skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems
