The President's Office is seeking knowledgeable and collaborative staff assistant to provide administrative support to the Executive Assistant to the President and to the Interim Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment within the Massachusetts Community College system.
Assist Executive Assistant to the President with RCC 50th Anniversary events
Schedule appointments for internal and external parties and maintain calendar for the Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs using Outlook extensively
Schedule appointments via Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams
Coordinate travel arrangements
Reconcile monthly credit card authorizations
Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical for EVP
Greet visitors for President and EVP offices
Coordinate catering for luncheons for meetings
Answer incoming and place outgoing calls
Sort and distribute mail
Order Office supplies
Job Requirements:
Associates degree in business administration or a related business field and/or 2-3 years of experience providing administrative assistant support in a high-level, confidential office environment
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments
Must be proficient at Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Zoom, Teams and/or another related computer office software
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extensive internal and external contact and frequent interruptions
Ability to deal tactfully, confidentially, and respectfully with a wide variety of people
Maintaining positive culture among all departments
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual a Plus
Experience working in a higher education and/or non-profit environment

This is a full-time, benefitted, Non-Unit Professional Position.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
