This workplace-based requirement of the Biotechnology AAS program provides the opportunity to apply theory and skills learned in the classroom, learn new skills, and explore career possibilities while supervised by a professional in the field and a faculty member.
This position is to collect a pool of applications for Biotechnology Workplace Learning. The actual work location will depend upon the industry placement.
Primary Duties Performed:
Workplace Learning Students will observe and participate in the functions of the industry to enhance their preparation for entering the field. Minimum of 50 hours per credit hour in the workplace throughout the term. Additional hours as required.
Required Qualifications:
Enrollment in BIO 221 Workplace Learning: Biotechnology and approval from course instructor. Prior or concurrent enrollment in BIO 220 and Reading Proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Salary Range:
$15.00 Per Hour
