As the Assistant Director of Residential Life, you will; provide leadership to the Residential Life Neighborhood and support Purdue University Residences residential campus environment, which offers students opportunities for personal growth through relationship building through the creation of diverse and inclusive communities.  Share in the student-centered focus for the neighborhood oversight of three to five residences/apartment communities housing approximately 3,000 students (of the 14,000 student residential system) through a commitment to student development, academic success, supervision, teamwork and communication.  Provide direction and expertise to the neighborhood while working to maintain and enhance the intercultural, educational, and social experiences of residential students. Maintain a commitment to the success of Purdue's strategic plan.

• Master’s Degree in student affairs or related field. 
• Three years of experience in Residential Life or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong written and oral communication.
• Strategic leadership, customer service and financial management.
• Ability to multi-task and make decisions independently. 
• Work standards, interpersonal and intercultural relations and decision making.  
• Coaching and leading people, strategic thinking and drive for results with the ability to work with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds.
