General:
The Director of Institutional Research (IR) plays a key leadership role in guiding and managing the institutional research agenda. The IR Director reports to Dean of Institutional Assessment at Roxbury Community College (RCC) and has the responsibility for (1) ensuring that the College is accurately represented in national, state, and agency reports, and (2) leading the research activities and evaluation agenda for the College, including data management, analysis, and assessment functions. The incumbent will assist senior College leaders in building a culture of data integrity and data-driven decision-making. The Director will also provide direct consultation and assistance to faculty and staff to meet their research and reporting needs.
Descritpion:
Lead the Institutional planning and evaluative processes, including strategic and tactical plans.
Facilitate the collection, analysis, interpretation, utilization, and dissemination of data in support of institutional decision-making, student outcomes assessment, strategic planning, and policy development.
Prepare and generate data and reports for the assessment of student learning, planning, decision-making for Program Reviews.
Manage data systems such as Jenzabar, to ensure consistency, reliability, and integrity of data reported to Institutional research needs and external compliance.
Establish and monitor standards for data entry and use of collected data, including maintaining data integrity.
Prepare data submissions as required to the federal government (IPEDS), the state government (Massachusetts Department of Higher Educational) and reports to support institutional and program self-study. And accreditation Reaffirmation process (NECHE, JrCERT ACEN for example).
Provide data and analysis to support accreditation processes, program evaluations and grant proposals.
Coordinates work institutional leadership to support strategic planning initiatives, evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas of improvement.
Plan and support college research projects.
Support data review and requirements of the Institutional Research Board (IRB).
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with industry certification, Master's preferred
Certifications in PL/SQL decision-making, student outcomes assessment, strategic planning, and policy development.
Experience in designing and implanting qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Demonstrated experience with statistical software and reporting tools.
Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to present complex information to a wide range of audiences.
Ability to develop and maintain cross-functional, collaborative working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff and students.
Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in higher education.
Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and lead large projects.
Commitment to the Roxbury Community College mission.
Education: Bachelor's degree required in computer science, data processing, research methods or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred, and a minimum of three years' experience in higher education, preferably in a community college setting.
