Provide professional counseling to students requesting services. Collaborate with Director of Student Counseling Center towards developing, implementing and evaluating outreach and educational programming, on topics related to mental health and overall well-being. Engage in empirical research and eventual publication of mental health and wellness related scholarly work. This is an on campus position, not virtual/remote. Â
Provide triage, intake and follow up counseling appointments for students requesting services.
Assist Director in the development of outreach programs for Student Counseling Center.
Screen initial appointments for clinic appropriateness and provide needed referrals.
Maintain and update marketing strategies for the Student Counseling Center
Work with Director to update and maintain referral resources.
Assist director in maintaining and developing community contacts.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Student Counseling Center.

Successful completion of masterâ™s degree in Counseling/Psychology, Clinical Psychology or other specialty related to job function i.e. Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family or related field (excluding Social Work) â‹ANDcurrently licensed at the Associate level in the state of Texas.
One year of counseling experience beyond licensure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of confidentiality issues related to working in an office that provides professional counseling services.
Computer application skills (Social media platforms, Excel, Database processing, Microsoft applications)
Direct experience with tele-mental health platforms
Fully licensed in the State of Texas (not under supervision)
Counseling experience in a college/university setting
Counseling experience with adults and military population
