Job Summary
The Associate Director of Residential Life (ADRL) leads the MHS residential program in collaboration with the Dean of Student Life, fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for Miss Hall’s School boarding students. This mission-driven educator supports students’ holistic development through training, programming, and curriculum, emphasizing the School’s Core Competencies. The role primarily involves afternoon and evening hours, with occasional late-night responsibilities, and requires living on campus to support the 24/7 nature of a boarding school community. Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Dean of Student Life to craft vision, build alignment, and develop and deliver student life programs and initiatives, in support of the student body
Supervise the Residential Life team
Coordinate Resident duty assignments and coverage schedules
In concert with the Dean of Student Life, review, update, and implement procedures and policies
Oversee the Proctor program and lead the Proctor Advising Team
Serve as School Travel Officer
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant experiences required
3+ years of experience in a school environment or educational organization, with proven success developing and leading programming for a diverse student body
Experience in boarding school or residential program as resident/live-on staff preferred
Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and to serving a diverse, global community
