This position reports directly to the Director of Student Engagement within the Student Life Division and is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and evaluating student activities and programs sponsored by the Palmieri Activities Center (PAC) and manage the PAC Pub and student staff, an area of alcohol service in the PAC. In addition, this position is responsible for assuring the PAC spaces, equipment, and furniture is kept properly maintained. The position requires frequent late night and weekend work. The position is responsible for conveying information about the University's Catholic values and institutional mission as well as its unique culture, traditions, and community. This position supports the Division of Student Life by providing opportunities for student involvement and engagement by hosting and executing a variety of diverse programs, events, and activities at the PAC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Activities
To develop, design, plan, implement, manage, and oversee all student activities programming and lounge operations at the PAC including student workers and the PAC Pub.
Ensure all relevant county and state alcohol laws and records are properly enforced and recorded.
Be prepared for scheduled and unannounced Liquor Board inspections and ensure all staff and sales records are available for review.
Maintain statistical reports, surveys and other records to assess accomplishments, opportunities for improvement, and departmental needs.
Assist in establishing and implementing policies and programs in the PAC and PAC Pub.
Direct program coordination activities with the University Events Director and Director of Student Activities; provide technical expertise and input concerning student activities/events in the PAC.
Manage the use and scheduling of the PAC; ensure appropriate use of program facilities in the PAC.
Enforce rules and regulations in accordance with PAC and Code of Conduct policies and regulations.
Plan, implement, and evaluate extracurricular activities which provide a welcoming campus environment in the PAC.
PAC Pub
Collaborate with the student activities board, Association of Mount Programming (AMP), to assist the execution of programming in the PAC.
Oversee the repairs and maintenance of the PAC. Participate in facility design/redesign.
Serve as a liaison to the University Dining Services and Campus Environment teams pertaining to contracted services in the PAC.
Assists in the development of PAC A/V technology related to the delivery of services to students.
Serve on any University Committees as assigned.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise 16 student workers.
Be a visible presence at University events, student programs, and community activities.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff, faculty, students, and the community in a customer service-oriented environment.
Strong computer skills, written and oral skills, and ability to multitask.
A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation required.
Exposure or experience with the following additional skills would be desirable: live sound production and lighting design, trip late night operations, Adobe creative suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/Premier), photography and videography.
This position will require the ability to perform all the essential functions and requirements of the job including but not limited to: lifting (up to 50 pounds), reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing and descending stairs, and standing for extended periods of time.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience working in event management and dealing with complex government policies as they pertain
*For consideration of Assistant Director (the following will be required, in addition to the above-mentioned):
Master’s degree and 3+ years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience working within an institution of Higher Education’s University Union, Student Lounge or Student Activities.
Experience managing and supervising staff/students.
